Belief Statements: School Counselors in the Minot Public School Counseling Program believe: ~All students have the ability to learn, achieve, and experience success. ~By implementing a comprehensive school counseling program, student developmental needs are met. ~School Counselors are advocates for every student. ~Student achievement is maximized when a comprehensive school counseling program is planned, managed, delivered, and continuously reviewed by licensed professional school counselors with stakeholder support. ~A data-driven comprehensive school counseling program is proactive and responsive in order to facilitate student achievement. ~The ASCA Ethical Standards guide school counselors and provide the foundation to promote student development and well being.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Minot High School Counseling Program is to decrease barriers to academic achievement through student advocacy; and to promote student success through a focus on academic achievement, social emotional growth, and career development.
