Belief Statements:
School Counselors in the Minot Public School Counseling Program believe:
~All students have the ability to learn, achieve, and experience success.
~By implementing a comprehensive school counseling program, student developmental needs are met.
~School Counselors are advocates for every student.
~Student achievement is maximized when a comprehensive school counseling program is planned, managed, delivered, and continuously reviewed by licensed professional school counselors with stakeholder support.
~A data-driven comprehensive school counseling program is proactive and responsive in order to facilitate student achievement.
~The ASCA Ethical Standards guide school counselors and provide the foundation to promote student development and well being.

The mission of the Minot High School Counseling Program is to decrease barriers to academic achievement through student advocacy; and to promote student success through a focus on academic achievement, social emotional growth, and career development.
